Repairs to south terrace, including
repair to drainage, waterproof membrane
and vaulted cellar.
Extent of works
- To lift the existing south terrace stone flags
individually; including the seats at the apsidal
ends and the removal of bituminous material. Lifting
equipment includes a gantry, vacuum lifting equipment
and ‘Kevlar’
lifting bags
- Repair to the substructure and fitting of a new
‘kaltek’ waterproof membrane
- Reinstallation of stones to their original position.
Each slab levelled using pneumatic lifting bags following
which, pressure grouted bags hold the slabs permanently
in position
